The Chewing Gum Ball Factory is located in the vibrant 'Overamstel' area near Park Somerlust. The area is undergoing a transformation from a former industrial estate to a mixed work and living area with all the facilities that go with it.
With this transformation, in addition to the existing industrial activity, there is also room for creative and media-related business activities. Warehouse
Part of "De Kauwgomballenfabriek" is KBF Warehouse. The image of the characteristic shed roofs will be preserved as a cultural-historical value in the design.
KBF Warehouse is originally an old stone production hall with a triangular annex. The existing building has been expanded to three and five floors. It will soon offer space for both large and small office users and creative entrepreneurs, with a large number of layout options possible. Historical elements in the current facade will be preserved and restored where necessary. The new construction adds a beautiful composition between past and present. The stone and mostly closed historical facade is built up with a transparent and light-looking volume. Materials such as steel, glass and wooden elements give the building a new dynamic, fitting within the current zeitgeist.
