On Saturday, October 25th, at the Allianz MiCo Auditorium in Milan, the final event of the Premio Costruiamo il Futuro (Building the Future Award) took place, with Dils as a sponsor for the third consecutive year. The ninth edition marked a historic milestone: €170,000 allocated to 77 small Milan-based organizations committed to integration, inclusion, and social support — an unprecedented result in the award’s 23-year history.
More than two thousand people filled the hall to attend the award ceremony and enjoy moments of entertainment, including the bike stunts of Vittorio Brumotti. Among the sports guests were renowned athletes such as Alessandro “Billy” Costacurta and Daniele Massaro, former AC Milan and Italian National Team players; Egyptian volleyball player Mariam Metwally, the first woman to play in Italy’s Serie A1 wearing a hijab; Paralympic champion Martina Caironi, gold and silver medalist at the Paralympic Games; and Paralympic swimmer Alberto Amodeo, medalist at both Paris 2024 and Tokyo 2020.
In the morning, before the ceremony, Match Point — a workshop promoted by the Costruiamo il Futuro Foundation — offered associations an opportunity to learn about grants and funding tools to strengthen their community initiatives.
The ceremony was hosted by the Foundation’s President, Maurizio Lupi, alongside Mediaset journalists Monica Bertini and Chiara Icardi, and the Foundation’s Vice President, Elisa Mattavelli.
Together with its ambassador Billy Costacurta, Dils presented the 12 This is my Milano Special Awards — honors dedicated to associations that contribute every day to making Milan a more vibrant and inclusive city. The awarded organizations were: Oratorio San Dionigi, SpazioTempo, Associazione Cena dell’Amicizia, Fondazione Together To Go, Associazione Culturale Villa Pallavicini, Fondazione Rosangela D’Ambrosio, Ami.Ca, Io non ho paura del buio, Samz Milano, Mondo Aperto, La Nostra Comunità, and Polisportiva A. Ferrarin.
“The Premio Costruiamo il Futuro gives us the chance each year to meet extraordinary people and discover inspiring stories that make Milan a more generous and inclusive city,” said Giuseppe Amitrano, Founder and Group CEO of Dils. “This is my Milano was created as a gesture of gratitude toward the city where we grew — a concrete way to give back by promoting beauty, inclusion, and authentic connections.”
A day that celebrated values, authenticity, and generosity — made possible thanks to the commitment of around 300 volunteers and collaborators who support the associations every day.
Our thanks go not only to the 77 award-winning organizations, but also to the 402 associations that took part in the call for proposals — because it is their passion, energy, and dedication that build, day after day, a Milan that is ever more supportive, welcoming, and capable of making a difference.
