This is my Milano is a project supporting Milan’s neighborhoods with activities to foster local development and promote content showcasing the city’s lesser-known stories and places.
Coming under the wider Give Back project, this initiative is part of Dils’ DNA: it’s a way to play an active role in supporting local organizations and associations that respond to community needs on a daily basis.
The project’s main artwork is by renowned illustrator Carlo Stanga, who previously worked on Dils’ brand launch campaign “It’s time to imagine your future space”. Actor Giacomo Poretti will be the face of the entire project, which kicks off in the Porta Romana neighborhood.
This is just the first stage of the project: the aim is to explore more neighborhoods such as Isola, Maggiolina, Lambrate, Ticinese and Monti-Magenta in the next months.
Each neighborhood will have its own original, dedicated content: an episode of This is my Milano – il Podcast will feature famous journalist and author Giorgio Terruzzi and his guests talking about the town. There’ll also be articles, pictures and three videos.

As famous Italian singer Lucio Dalla sang in 1979, “Milan makes your head spin every time you visit.” Lombardy’s main town is hectic yet charming, mysterious, and contemporary. It’s the city of the Duomo (the “Madonnina”), the Navigli, the Bosco Verticale and so much more.
Journalist Giorgio Terruzzi is the narrator of the This is my Milano series. He’ll guide us on an “audio walk” to get to know more about 6 neighborhoods with lots of stories to tell about past and present. This journey will take us to Porta Romana, Isola, Maggiolina, Scalo Porta Romana, Magenta/Monti and Lambrate. There’ll be buildings to look at, roads to wander, and many curiosities and peculiarities to discover: the stories of these neighborhoods will be unveiled thanks to testimonies from the remarkable personalities who live there.
