Yesterday, Sunday, October 20th, at the Allianz MiCo Auditorium in Milan, the final event of the Premio Costruiamo il futuro (Building the future) took place, with Dils as a sponsor for the second consecutive year. The eighth edition achieved a historic record: €142,000 was awarded to 70 small local associations, an unprecedented milestone in the 21-year history of this charitable project, which now encompasses five areas of Lombardy (Milan, Brianza, Bergamo, Valtellina, and Valcamonica).
Over 2,000 people filled the auditorium to witness the award ceremony and hear the touching stories of associations committed to extraordinary efforts in integration, inclusion, and community building. The event was enhanced by moments of entertainment and reflection, during which checks of up to €5,000 and vouchers for the purchase of sports equipment were presented to support local initiatives.
The ceremony was led by the president of the Fondazione Costruiamo il futuro, Maurizio Lupi, alongside well-known sports and entertainment personalities, including Paolo Maldini, Beppe Dossena, Filippo Galli, Vittorio Brumotti, Giacomo Poretti, Simona Tagli, and Giusy Versace.
Dils, along with its ambassador Giacomo Poretti, had the honor of presenting 12 Special This is my Milano Prizes, recognizing associations that demonstrate particular social commitment in our city. The following were awarded: Accademia Scherma Milano, Diversamente, Portami per Mano, Alfabeti – Scuola popolare per Stranieri, Fondazione Dynamo Camp, Fondazione Ariel – Centro Disabilità Neuromotorie Infantili, Corvetto Street Basket Academy, Dream Team Milano, Non solo Danza, Insieme per Crescere, Diesis, and Tukiki.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all 70 associations who, day after day, in the midst of a bustling Milan, stop, listen, and take care of the most vulnerable.
