The Kauwgomballenfabriek is located in the bustling 'Overamstel' area near Park Somerlust. The area is undergoing a transformation from a former industrial estate to a mixed work and residential area with all the facilities that come with it.

The image of the characteristic shed roofs is preserved in the design as a cultural-historical value.

KBF Warehouse was originally an old brick production hall with a triangular annex. The existing building has been extended to three and five floors. It will soon offer space to both large and small office users and creative entrepreneurs, with a large number of layout options possible. Historical elements in the current facade will be preserved and restored where necessary. The new construction adds a beautiful composition between past and present. The brick and largely closed historical facade is built up with a transparent and light-looking volume. Materials such as steel, glass and wooden elements give the building a new dynamism, fitting within the current zeitgeist.
