VP22 is the initiative that revolutionizes the very concept of an "Office," a building that is reborn as a result of demolition and reconstruction according to new standards. Via Pisani 22 is located along one of the main directions that connect the historic center to Porta Nuova. The Central Station, an essential hub for railway traffic and the starting point for connections to Milan's airports, is within walking distance. In addition to railway lines and public transportation, this is also a crucial convergence point for taxis and car-sharing. The redevelopment of VP22 maintains the continuity of the original portico and, starting from its structural rhythm, redesigns the volumes of the entire building and its facade. Verticality is reinforced by steel pillars, which add even more momentum to the whole. Entering the ground floor from the public portico, the lobby welcomes with its spacious double-height space and facilitates the distribution of access to the main body. To meet various business needs, the spaces of VP22 respond with highly efficient and flexible design, featuring the highest levels of systems. The design philosophy of VP22 aims to create a new and unique place on the Milanese landscape. It does so not only with its internal forest but also with its upper terrace overlooking the urban skyline, featuring a 600 sqm roof garden. The forest in the inner courtyard of the VP22 project is the green soul of the intervention and represents a new synergy between professional life and its surroundings. The design of VP22 spaces strikes a balance between functional environments for work and business, with a particular focus on community and personal well-being. This approach is evident from the auditorium, which can accommodate over 220 seats. Overlooking the internal courtyard, a cafeteria area offers a welcoming atmosphere with a contemporary style, providing moments of relaxation with colleagues and informal meetings with guests and visitors. The VP22 project is designed to achieve the highest standards of sustainability and environmental performance. Thanks to LEED Platinum and WELL certifications, the building qualifies as an NZEB (Nearly Zero Emission Building). The energy requirements are significantly covered by renewable energies, virtuously exploited or self-produced.
