On May 25th, at the Building General Finance on Via Stephansson in Milan, the event "From the basketball court to the community: the value of Urania Basket's special projects" took place — an event dedicated to showing what happens when sport becomes a tool for social change.
Dils was there, for the second consecutive year, as a partner of Urania Milano.
This is not a coincidence. Nor is it simply a sponsorship. It is a choice consistent with what Dils has decided to be: a company that answers not only to the market, but to the city that allowed it to grow. That same vision that gave birth to This Is My Milano — the project through which Dils concretely supports the communities that keep the city alive — led to the partnership with Urania, a historic Milanese basketball club and a synonym for Italian basketball since 1952.
Urania is not just a Serie A2 team. It is an ecosystem of over 450 young athletes, school programmes, and social initiatives ranging from support for the Associazione Pane Quotidiano to collaboration with Fondazione Libellula against gender-based violence. It is a community where sport is a language that includes. And that is exactly what Dils looks for in its partners: not visibility. Affinity.
The May 25th event presented the projects from the 2025/2026 season and previewed what is coming next: the "Urania goes to school" programme at the Istituto Narcisi, which will involve around 900 students in the 2026/2027 school year around the theme of fair play, and the Urania Skills Camp — a summer camp in Aprica, from June 14th to 20th, for young players born between 2010 and 2015 — both made possible with the support of Dils.
Because supporting is not enough. The role Dils has chosen for itself is twofold: to stand alongside those who build communities with real resources and real presence, and to amplify their voice. To ensure that those who work with passion and dedication are seen and recognised — and that their enthusiasm spreads, inspires, and brings others on board. Because good work done well is, in the finest sense of the word, contagious.
