Second stop of the Neighborhood Parties of This is my Milano in Lambrate: almost 3,000 people exploring the territory.

After Porta Romana, the second appointment with the Festa di quartiere (Neighborhood Parties) of This is my Milano arrives at the Giardino Ventura in Lambrate, the project promoted by Dils aiming to enhance Milan’s neighborhoods through tangible support to local associations and the storytelling of the history of the places and the community that inhabits them.

The Lambrate Party, held on Sunday, October 1st, was a resounding success, combining entertainment, sharing, culture, and solidarity. The day kicked off with the evocative parade of the Triuggio Marching Band through the city streets, leading residents to the Giardino Ventura. Here, theatrical performances curated by the local cultural association Campo Teatrale and the Milanese artist Lunanzio made the atmosphere lively and memorable. In the garden of the historic Villa Bombelli, interactive games, workshops for children, and live street art painting performances by Smoe took place throughout the morning.

Thanks to the commitment of AIM Associazione Interessi Metropolitano and Open House Milano, participants were able to discover the neighborhood through guided tours, including exclusive spaces such as Villa Busca Serbelloni, Spazio Ventura XV, and the LUNA complex.

The participation of local associations, including ACLI, Cascina Biblioteca, ViVA!, Mission Bambini, Famiglia Martin, and Custodi del Bello, was fundamental and highly appreciated: in addition to showcasing the valuable work carried out by volunteers in the area, third-sector organizations were able to enthusiastically convey the passion that drives their often invisible but invaluable commitment to the community.

The Festa di quartiere is just one of the initiatives of This is My Milano. The project aims to discover the uniqueness of each neighborhood through Racconti di quartiere (Neighborhood Stories), a rich collection of multimedia content available online. In Lambrate, Dils supports the community by backing the Custodi del Bello (Guardians of Beauty), a social project by the Cooperative Farsi Prossimo and supported by the Municipality of Milan aimed at providing support to people in vulnerable situations, preparing them for reintegration into the workforce. The Lambrate team is dedicated to caring for the neighborhood’s spaces, taking care of the cleaning and maintenance of green areas, streets, squares, and parks.

The Custodi del Bello project is part of Dils’ multi-year Give Back program and represents an innovative and responsible way of real estate management. The goal is to spread this approach to other cities, to improve the quality of places and make society more inclusive.
